Bitfreighter is an Integration Platform for Logistics Providers to connect with their Trading Partners or Shippers to exchange data. The platform is a middle-ware with an extensible amount of connection and data uses with the ability to offer a user interface for value-added automation. The platform creates a value-added integration freight network that creates one-to-many connections through our modern proprietary technology.
Instructions for Enabling BitFreighter Integration
- Enable Integration:
Please enable Bitfreighter integration in the Partner Integrations section of your system. Reach out to your Bitfreighter contact to ensure that the webhook(2) is listed and enabled for your integration. Additionally, obtain the required token(1) from their team.
From BitFreighter to get the token you’ll need to select “two_way” for the mode, enter webhook_url(2) from Partner Integrations, and click Save Changes.
Saving the changes will generate the key(2) needed for the token field in Partner Integrations. - Receiving Load Tenders from Bitfreighter:
To receive tenders from BitFreighter, paste the unique sender ID provided by Bitfreighter into theBitFreighterId
field within the Preferences module for the respective customer. - Sending Automated Tender Accepts or Cancels:
To automate sending tender acceptances or cancellations to Bitfreighter, create a Bitfreighter 990 setup within the EDI Setup for the corresponding customer. Fill in the sender and receiver fields with the IDs provided by Bitfreighter. Note that the Bitfreighter EDI setups will only appear if you have completed the first step. If they do not appear, please log in again. - Sending Automated Appointment and Shipment Status Updates:
To automate sending appointment and shipment status updates to Bitfreighter, create a Bitfreighter 214 setup in the EDI Setup. Fill in the sender and receiver fields with the IDs provided by Bitfreighter. - Sending Invoices:
To send invoices, create a Bitfreighter 210 setup and fill in the sender and receiver fields with the IDs provided by Bitfreighter. Update the customer’s invoice preference to API and print the invoice from the API module in the Invoice Printing section. - Viewing Logs:
Copies of all inbound and outbound requests can be found in the EDI Log, categorized by Bitfreighter request types.
