Please review this FAQ prior to getting setup with Shipstore.
Q. What is Shipstore?
A. Shipstore is a multi-carrier parcel execution company. They work closely with mid to high volume parcel shippers ranging from 200 parcels shipped per day up to 200,000 per day. The company has built technology available in an interface directly with the shipper, or through WMS, ERP and TMS integrations with its 100% API-driven solution.
Q. What is the relationship between 3PL Systems and Shipstore?
A. 3PL Systems has built an integration between its Brokerware application and Shipstore. Customers in Brokerware will now be able to rate, create a shipment label and track the shipment through the connection powered by Shipstore.
Q. Are my shipping clients a good fit for this service?
A. If you have clients that ship less than 200 parcels per day and need an interface to rateshop, create a label and track a shipment then this will be a good fit. Shipstore will bring a variety of carriers to the table, pre-negotiated by Shipstore. You, the broker, will be able to bill the client accordingly for this service.
Q. Can my shipper bring their own carrier rates in as well?
A. At this time that service is not available.
Q. What if I have a high volume parcel client?
A. If your customer ships at a volume greater than 200 parcel shipments per day, they will likely need more capability and features than what this integration would offer. A direct customer setup in the Shipstore application would satisfy their needs, as they are built for high volume shippers to utilize Shipstore rates/carriers along with their own negotiated rates.
Q. What is the cost of this service?
A. For each customer the broker wants this service enabled, there is a monthly $100 subscription charge. This charge will be assessed the first of each month made payable by either credit card or ACH.
Q. How do you bill for the parcel shipments?
A. We will bill the broker for all parcel shipments generated by its customers. In turn, the broker will be responsible for billing its customers. Net terms for all parcel shipments are 7 days.
Q. How do I get setup with Shipstore?
A. Send a request to [email protected]. We’ll set up an initial call with you to understand your customer base and find the right carrier mix for your customer. We’ll get a short contract signed, establish billing and get your underlying customers set up. This is a fairly quick process and can get your customer access to parcel rates within a week.
